Rushcliffe marked Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday with a service and two-minute silence in Central Avenue on Saturday 11 November.
Rushcliffe Borough Council hosted a two-minute silence in Central Avenue, West Bridgford, shortly before 11am on Saturday (November 11).

The event included Cllr Debbie Mason, the Mayor of Rushcliffe, Rushcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Tim Cuthbert, Rushcliffe MP Ruth Edwards, Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council Cllr Neil Clarke and manyother members of the community and local dignitaries.

Many members of the public attended the event started shortly before 11am with a bugler playing The Last Post on the stroke of the hour and the two minute reflection.
The Mayor then addressed the service with prayers.
Cllr Mason said: “This year as with every year it is so important that we pay our respects for Armistice Day and remember all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in serving their country, not just those lost in World Wars 1 and 2 but sadly in more recent conflicts.”
