Pictures: West Bridgford at 9:00 am on first day of ‘lockdown’ measures

West Bridgford was quiet as the first day of the government’s new measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Boots is open of course and exercising a ‘five in – five out’ policy for customers needing to get essential medicines in line with the new rules.

The new rules are:

– shopping for basic necessities, as infrequently as possible

– one form of exercise a day – for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household;
any medical need, to provide care or to help a vulnerable person; and

- Advertisement -

– travelling to and from work, but only where this is absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home.
