Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are asking to public to take care when parking.
A spokesperson said:
‘Can we please ask you to consider where you leave your vehicle.
‘We realise that Fire Hydrants can sometimes be difficult to see, can we please ask that you do not park your vehicle on top of one of the Fire Hydrant plates or very close to one.
‘We only need a small amount of space around a hydrant to fit our equipment and hose.
‘The pictures shown is from an incident we responded to recently.
‘The bottom number on the yellow plates identify the distance from the plate to a Fire Hydrant.’
