Plumtree Cricket Club has opportunities for volunteers

Plumtree Cricket Club is one of the most thriving sports clubs in Nottinghamshire, and they’re looking for volunteers to get involved.

Based in the beautiful South Nottinghamshire village of the same name, Plumtree Cricket Club is a welcoming and ambitious club.

The first team plays in the Notts Premier League and in recent years has consistently finished in the top four, making Plumtree one of the senior members of the league. The first team is joined by a further two male teams playing in the South Notts League on a Saturday, a women’s team that plays in the Midlands League and a thriving junior section including a girls’ team.

The club is exceptionally proud of its achievements on and off the pitch and is ambitious to develop, provide exceptional cricket, an excellent social scene and to be at the heart of our community.

The club however would like to add to its volunteers and would welcome expressions of interest from those who would like to get involved with our fantastic club. Giving some time and experience to Plumtree CC need not be an arduous commitment, and we would be glad to discuss what you might be able to do. So if you have an interest in sports club operations/governance, social media, project management, fundraising, sponsorship or coaching please get in touch.

Volunteering is a great way to add to your CV or gain valuable work experience for students, meet new people, develop skills or use existing ones. It can be incredibly rewarding to give back to the community, and Plumtree CC is an incredible community to give back to!

Whether you are retired, have some spare time, would like to use your skills, or just want to get involved with a great cricket club, please feel free to let our secretary Ken Bloor know –  kenbloor@tiscali.co.uk
