Police appeal after man punched seven times in the face at a Notts pub

Police are looking to speak to this person after another man was repeatedly punched in the face.

A 49-year-old man was hit in the face at least seven times during the assault, in the White Hind pub, in Carter Gate, Newark.

The attack is understood to have happened following a dispute with another man in the pub, at around 8.35pm on 28 November 2021.

CCTV filmed inside the venue shows a man who police want to speak to in connection with in the incident.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a green or khaki coloured jacket.

Police Constable Anthea Brotheridge, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our understanding is that the pub was quite busy when this incident took place, so there is a strong chance that someone will recognise the man pictured from CCTV.

“If you do know this man, if you witnessed the assault take place, or if you have any more information that could assist us with our enquiries, I’d ask that you please contact the police, quoting incident number 612 on 28 November 2021.”
