Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy riding a bike was struck by a car.
The 13-year-old was riding along Westfield Lane, Mansfield when we has knocked to the ground at the crossing with Chester Street.
The incident happened at around 8.40am on Wednesday (1 December) and is believed to have involved a black car that is said to have left the scene a short time afterwards.
The victim was treated in hospital for minor injuries to his leg, neck and stomach.
PC Lisa McNeil, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thankfully the victim in this case was not seriously injured but it goes without saying that this was a frightening and upsetting incident for him.
“We believe the driver briefly got out of their vehicle to check on the victim but left the scene shortly afterwards.
“We would like to speak with them at the earliest opportunity and urge them to get in touch as soon as possible.
“We would also like to hear from other people who witnessed the incident, particularly anyone who may have dashcam footage of what happened.”
