Police in West Bridgford have had ‘multiple reports’ of anti-social behaviour involving fireworks.
A spokesperson for the force said today ( 2 November ):
‘Unfortunately we have already had multiple reports of anti-social behavior, with large groups of youths throwing fireworks and letting them off in unsuitable, even dangerous locations.
‘This is a problem across the whole of Rushcliffe and we appeal to parents to ensure their children are not involved in these distressing and dangerous activities.’

Fireworks must not be sold to anyone who is under 18
It is an offence to let fireworks off during night hours (11pm to 7am), except on Bonfire Night (midnight), Diwali, New Year’s Eve, and Chinese New Year (1am)
It is an offence under the Explosives Act 1875 to tamper with or modify fireworks
If you want to buy, possess and use fireworks (except indoor fireworks and sparklers), in Northern Ireland you must have a valid fireworks licence.
Under section 7.3 of the Regulations of Fireworks Act, it is an offence to cause any unnecessary suffering to any captive or domestic animal.
The Animal Welfare Act 2006 states that if an animal is deemed to have been caused unnecessary suffering then a fine of up to £20,000 and a jail term of six months could be handed out.
