Police attend fight in Forest Fields – man found unconscious

A man has been arrested after a report of an altercation in Forest Fields.

Officers are in attendance in Stanley Road after a man was reported to be unconscious in the street following a fight.

Police arrived quickly at the scene acted fast to make an arrest in connection with the incident.

A man has been taken to hospital for treatment of injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering.

A police cordon is in place while officers establish the circumstances.

Inspector Charlotte Allardice, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We received a report that a man had been assaulted at around 3.15pm today and deployed officers to the scene.

“It is thought that there was an altercation between a group of men in the street, resulting in one man being knocked unconscious.

“A group of men are then thought to have fled the scene in a car that we quickly recovered in connection with the incident.

“Officers then arrested a man believed to be linked to the altercation near the scene. A police cordon will remain in place while we establish what happened.

“I’d now appeal for anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
