Police called after man injured in industrial accident in Sneinton

Officers attended after a report of an industrial incident at a work site in Sneinton.

A man was reported to have suffered serious head injuries that required hospital treatment in the incident, which happened shortly before midday on Wednesday 8 February 2023) in Thurgarton Street.

Police remain in attendance to manage the scene and ensure public safety. The investigation will be passed to the Health and Safety Executive who will investigate the circumstances.

Temporary Inspector Iain Blackstock, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Emergency services acted quickly to arrive at the scene of this report.

“A man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that are currently believed to be life-threatening.

“The investigation will be taken over by the Health and Safety Executive in due course.”
