Police are questioning a man in connection with a report of a group of men fighting with weapons in Radford.
Officers were called to the disturbance in Woodstock Avenue just after 11.30am yesterday (Sunday 18 April 2021).
A man suffered a head injury during the incident but wasn’t seriously hurt.
Police quickly carried out extensive enquiries in the area which led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man on suspicion of affray and possession of cannabis. He remains in custody.
Inspector Richard Guy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers are continuing with their enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident, including trawling through CCTV footage.
“We take incidents of disorder such as this very seriously. The use of weapons and violence is totally unacceptable and we will always look to take robust action against those who commit such offences.
“While we have already made arrests, our enquiries remain in their early stages and we’re appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, anyone who may have captured CCTV or dashcam footage or anyone who has any information to please come talk to us.
