Police have made three arrests after a fight broke out.
Emergency services were called to Canal Street, Nottingham, shortly after 11.30 am (Thursday 2 February 2023) following reports of an altercation involving a small group of youths near the front entrance of Nottingham College.
One male casualty was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre with a single stab wound. His condition is not thought to be life-altering or life-threatening.
Two other males were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Three male suspects aged 16, 17 and 18 have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Nottingham College is closed this afternoon while evidence is gathered.
Detective Sergeant Steve Dalby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The force will never tolerate this sort of violent disorder in our communities.
“We will always take swift action to track down anyone suspected of carrying a knife or other offensive weapon, while anyone who does so can expect to receive a robust response from the police.
“We have made three arrests but our inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
“It’s important anyone who saw what happened, has any relevant information, or has mobile phone footage that could assist us comes forward.”
