Police charge fourth man in Nottingham murder investigation

A fourth suspect has been charged following the murder of a man in Nottingham city centre.

Father-of-two Ricardo Cotteral, aged 33, died after being attacked in Broad Street, shortly before 2am on Sunday 24 April.

Richard Anderson, aged 24, was arrested on Monday evening. He has now been charged with murder and remanded into custody.

Anderson, of no fixed abode, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.

A 21-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has since been released on police bail.

Wade Smith, aged 36, of Helmsdale Gardens, Top Valley, Ijah Lavelle Moore, aged 30, of Woodfield Road, Broxtow, and Daniel Francis, aged 26, of Shakespeare Street, Nottingham city centre, have all been charged with murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Clare Dean, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our investigation is ongoing and our working hard to get justice for Ricardo’s family and friends. We remain keen to speak to any additional witnesses who have not already been spoken to by officers.”
