The road has been closed by police after a serious crash.
Nottinghamshire Police said at 7:17 pm:
ROAD CLOSURE: Drivers are being advised the A617 has been closed in both directions, between Hamilton Road and Derby Road, near Mansfield, following a serious collision. Please avoid the area.

Road closed and queueing traffic due to crash on A617 Sherwood Way South both ways between A60 Nottingham Road and Hamilton Road.
The road is closed following an accident first reported at around 18:00. Affecting traffic between the A60 and Sutton In Ashfield.
