Police closed part of the M1 overnight out of ‘concern for a man’s safety’


Police closed a stretch of the M1 during the night after reports of a man on a bridge.

Nottinghamshire Police closed the M1 in both directions between Junctions 25 and 26, near to Trowell Services on 15th March in the early hours of the morning.

The man was safely taken down from the bridge, and ‘engaged with police officers’.

Police report that the carriageways were reopened at 1.57am.
