A dispersal order under Anti-social Behaviour legislation has been authorised following numerous incidents reported in the Lady Bay area of alcohol-related ASB. Police said:
‘Large numbers of teenagers and young adults have been congregating into the evening and night, setting fires, exploding gas canisters and playing loud music.
‘This behaviour is both dangerous and distressing to local residents.
‘The local beat team will be on patrol across the area and any persons engaging in Anti-social behaviour can be issued with a direction to leave and not return within 48 hours.
‘Patrols will also be conducted in all other open spaces, such as Bridgford Park where members of the public have recently gathered following the relaxation of the COVID restrictions.’
