Substantial amounts of cocaine and drug dealing equipment were uncovered as police investigated a dangerous driving report.
Officers attended a property on Caulton Street, Hyson Green, during the early hours of Tuesday (11 March) after a woman was linked to the alleged driving incident.
After a suspicious object caught an officer’s eye, a property search led to eight bags of cocaine and four pepper spray canisters being discovered.
Scales and deal bags were also recovered from the address.
The 35-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply the Class A drug cocaine, as well as possession of pepper spray and an offensive weapon.
Inquiries into the alleged dangerous driving incident remain ongoing.
Inspector Elizabeth Gaskin, of the City Central neighbourhood policing team, said:
“Our officers certainly uncovered more than they bargained for during this visit and I’m pleased that we were able to take these Class A drugs off the streets.
“We take drug crime very seriously and will continue to clamp down on anyone who thinks they can get away with supplying and selling drugs.
“Our investigation remains ongoing, and we always encourage members of the community to report any suspicious activity to us.”
