A burglary suspect was located on a rooftop after police responded to a break-in at a Nottingham hair salon.
Officers were called to Lincoln Street, in the city centre, after a burglar was heard breaking into the rear the premises at around 3.30am on Monday last week (13 October).
Upon arriving at the scene, a crowbar was discovered jammed in a back door and noises were heard on the rooftop.
A response officer looked up and saw a figure who then disappeared from view.

The officer shouted “police officer, show yourself” but the instruction was ignored.
More police units arrived and the scene was contained.
At 4.25am, a man came down from the rooftop and was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
The 47-year-old was taken into custody and later bailed pending further investigation work.
PC Reece Lewis, part of the Response team that attended the incident, said:
“Firstly, I’d like to thank the member of the public who alerted us to this break-in.
“We are always grateful for calls like this as it gives us the best chance of catching suspects in the act.
“In this instance, the suspect initially refused to come down but soon gave himself up after realising there was no escape.
“Business owners and staff should not have to come into their place of work to discover an intruder has been on their premises, so I’m pleased we managed to place a suspect in handcuffs so soon after this burglary took place.”
