The incident happened on the M1 motorway.
Leicestershire Police said today:
‘Whilst checking on the welfare of the occupants of this car stopped on the hard shoulder M1 northbound J21a.
‘The driver was found to be asleep with an empty bottle of vodka on the seat… one arrested and en route to custody.’
