On Saturday, 5th April 2025, Officers from the Worksop North Neighbourhood Policing Team found themselves assisting an injured swan on Royal Crescent, Worksop.
Police said:
‘The suspect, described as approximately two foot tall with a long slender neck and an orange-black bill, was indeed a swan (well, naturally).
‘After apprehending the slippery subject, officers ensured it received the care it needed, taking it to a local vet where it will be assessed before joining a wildlife charity for rehabilitation.
‘It seems even in Worksop, no swan is safe from the law! Maybe next time we’ll need backup…perhaps Sergeant Angel and PC Butterman could lend a hand?’
