Police hunt man who frequently visits West Bridgford and Nottingham – in connection with sexual assault

Nottinghamshire Police is hunting a man who failed to attend court in relation to a sexual assault.

The force has now issued a picture of 21-year-old Mateusz Nowogorski who was due to attend Nottingham Crown Court on 5 October 2020.

It was reported a man approached a teenage girl in Colwick Road in August 2020.

It’s believed Nowogorski frequently visits the city centre and West Bridgford areas, but has no fixed address and could be further afield in Birmingham or the West Midlands area.

Police Constable James Boden is leading the investigation. He said: “We are keen to track down the whereabouts of Nowogorski as he was wanted in connection with a sexual assault offence last year.

“Our investigation leads us to believe he could well still be around locally.

“Officers have searched across Nottinghamshire, but are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward to help with our search.

“If you have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
