Nottinghamshire Police has issued a dispersal order for Beeston in force today Tuesday 25 August.
Police said:
‘A dispersal order has been authorised for Beeston Town Centre from 12 noon to midnight today (25 August) following several incidents reported yesterday evening.
‘These incidents include reports of violence, public order offences and robbery, all of which are believed to be associated with groups of young people causing disruption in the town centre.
‘Officers are conducting high-visibility patrols and revisiting victims and witnesses throughout the day and evening.
‘The dispersal order grants additional powers to direct individuals engaged in anti-social behaviour or criminality to leave the area.
‘Anyone with information concerning these incidents is encouraged to contact us by telephoning 101.’
