Another arrest has been made in connection with a stabbing following an illegal gathering.
A 22-year-old man is being questioned today on suspicion of attempted murder as detectives continue to make progress in their investigation after an 18-year-old man was stabbed at an address in Bramble Close, Old Basford.
Heroic police officers put themselves in harm’s way to save the man’s life, giving first aid, despite people throwing bottles at them after violence had erupted at the property at around 10pm on Saturday 12 June 2021.
The victim was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre for urgent treatment. His injuries are not currently thought to be life-threatening
Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a shocking incident which has understandably caused a great deal of concern in the local community.
“A thorough investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances and we’re still urging potential witnesses, who haven’t yet spoken to us, to come forward and tell us what they saw to help us build a clear picture of what occurred.
“If you have any information please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 304 of 12 June 2021, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
