Four additional suspects have been arrested after protestors climbed chimneys at a power station.
Police were called in the early hours of Monday morning to Staythorpe Power Station near Newark.
Officers engaged with the protestors and four came down shortly before midday.
The remaining four came down shortly after 4.30pm.
All eight were arrested and have now been released on conditional bail.
Three men, aged 68, 60 and 36, and a 40-year-old woman were arrested yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon on suspicion of interfering with the use / operation of key national infrastructure.
They have also been released on bail.
Detective Inspector James Oakton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was a resource intensive incident, and we are currently working with the site’s owners to ensure there are no further breaches of security.
“An investigation into what happened is ongoing and we have now identified four additional suspects.
“Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident 74 of 22 September 2025.”
