Patrols have also been stepped up in the area to provide public reassurance.
Ricardo’s sister Felisha Cotteral speaking on behalf of the family, said: “Ricardo’s loss has absolutely devastated our family.
“He was a father of an eight-year-old and 11-year-old who adored him. He was a much-loved uncle, brother, son and grandson.
“It is hard to accept that we will never see him again – taken from us so young.
“Ricardo always had a smile on his face and was a loving person and would do anything for his family and friends.
“As a family we now need time to come to terms with what has happened and would ask that people leave us to grieve in peace.”
Detective Chief Inspector Clare Dean, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Ricardo’s family at this incredibly sad time. Specialist family liaison officers are working with them to provide support and guidance as the investigation progresses.
