Police name motorcyclist who died in A453 collision

A motorcyclist who died after a collision with a car has been named.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances after officers were called to the incident which happened on the A453 Remembrance Way, in Ratcliffe-on-Soar, near to the West Leake junction.

The incident occurred shortly before 4.48am on Wednesday (4 May 2022).

The rider, 62-year old Kevin Creighton, of Clifton, died at the scene.

He leaves behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Detective Constable Emma Temple, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts and sympathies remain with Mr Creighton’s family at this difficult time who are being supported by specialist officers.

“We’re working hard to establish the full circumstances of this tragic incident and I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who has any dash-cam footage that may be helpful to our ongoing investigation to please get in touch as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 52 of 4 May 2022.”
