A pedestrian who died following a collision in Nottingham can now be named by police.
Emergency services were called to Bulwell Lane, Old Basford, at 8.59am on Wednesday 2 September following reports a man had been involved in a collision with a lorry.
Robert James Clark, aged 74, who lived locally, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and continues to assist officers with their inquiries.
Officers are also looking to trace a number of pedestrians who were in the area at the time but have not yet given an account.
Case Investigator Louise Melbourne, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Mr Clark’s family are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.
“Our investigations are continuing and we particularly want to speak to a number of pedestrians who we know were in the immediate vicinity when this collision occurred.
“Likewise, if any motorists have any relevant dashcam footage which they have not yet shared with officers, I’d urge them to get in touch.”
Anyone who can assist should call 101, quoting incident 131 of 2 September 2026.
