Five people were arrested and suspected drugs recovered after police raided a flat.
Police attended the property in Isandula Road, Basford, at 1.15pm on Wednesday (12 February), following reports of criminal activity.
They found three women and two men inside smoking suspected Class A drugs around a table that was cluttered with drug paraphernalia, including crack pipes.
All five people – aged 36, 42, 48, 52 and 54 – were taken into custody to be questioned on suspicion of drug offences.
They were each questioned and bailed with conditions whilst investigation work continues. This includes conducting tests on a suspected Class A and B drugs seized by the officers from within the flat.
Sergeant Karl Browne, of the City Central neighbourhood policing team, said:
“We will not tolerate drug crime in Nottingham, as demonstrated by these five arrests.
“Drugs can cause or be linked to violent offences and other crime types that have a significant impact on our communities.
“As such, we will continue to respond to reports of criminal activity as we did in this instance.
“If you have any concerns or spot suspicious activity in your local area, please report it to us as soon as possible either on 101 or in an emergency, 999.”
