Thousands of pounds’ worth of suspected stolen goods and cash were seized when neighbourhood police raided two shops in Clifton.
Officers executed warrants at a convenience store and a disused shop, both in Southchurch Drive, on Monday (14 September).
The raids were carried out as neighbourhood teams work to tackle antisocial behaviour, shoplifting and drug crime in the community.

Around 150 bottles of suspected stolen alcohol were among the items recovered after searches.
Investigations will continue following the raids, which were led by the Clifton neighbourhood policing team (NPT), supported by colleagues from other NPTs, the Priority Tasking team and council trading standards officers.
Sergeant Simon Reid, of the neighbourhood team, said:
“These warrants were carried out following concerns from the community and many months of evidence gathering.
“We strongly believed we would find stolen goods inside these premises and these suspicions were found to be correct.
“Although there was a large police presence while the warrants were executed, this was purely for the logistical need to contain the two locations.
“Proactive police activity like this can have a deterrent effect on criminality in neighbourhoods, so I hope members of the community welcome our efforts.”
