On Thursday 29th September, officers from Operation Reacher accompanied by officers from the East Bassetlaw Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant at a property on Creswell Road, Worksop.
A 50-year-old male was arrested from the address following the discovery of a quantity of Class A drugs and and an amount of cash.
The same male was also arrested on suspicion of offences he was outstanding for.
A 32-year-old female was also located in the address and arrested after failing to appear at Crown Court on suspicion of burglary.
Police in Bassetlaw said:
‘The dog pictured was the third member of the household.
‘Despite numerous conversations, neither the homeowner or his fugitive visitor could explain who the dog belonged to or the dog’s name.
‘A quick scan of the chip reader came up with a negative result and officers unwilling to leave the dog in a property with a plethora of drugs and weapons lying about took her back to the station for tea and biscuits.
‘The dog spent the night in kennels before being signed over by the arrested male and is now looking for a new home.’
