Police remain at the scene of a property in Longmead Road, Arnold.
Nottinghamshire Police Inspector Paul Grant said: “Officers were called to an incident in Longmead Drive, Daybrook, at around 7.15pm on the evening of Monday, 18 April after receiving reports of a man reportedly being assaulted.
‘“We are still in the very early stages of our investigation and detectives are working hard to understand what happened. We would like to reassure the public that we do believe this to be an isolated incident.”
