Police response officers helped to save the life of a man found unconscious in a car.
The officers were driving along Woodhouse Way, Nottingham, at 1.37am on Monday morning when they found a man slumped at the wheel.
Realising he was in urgent need of help, they forced their way in, pulled him out, and began potentially life-saving CPR as they waited for paramedics to arrive.
The man, aged in his thirties, soon regained consciousness and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
Chief Inspector Jon Hewitt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The officers in this case took decisive action to help a man in desperate need of assistance.
“Had he not received this help when he did, the outcome of this incident could have been very different indeed.
“For that reason, all the officers involved should be very proud of their actions in the early hours of Monday morning.”
