Officers are appealing to speak to a witness who provided information to a paramedic at the Download Festival on Saturday evening when a man had become unwell.
Police were notified at 9.28pm on Saturday 11 June that medical staff on site at the festival in Castle Donington were attending to a man in his 30s who had become unwell.
The man was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital by ambulance where he was sadly pronounced deceased on Saturday evening.
The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained while officers carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the man’s death.
From these enquiries, it is understood that when medical staff were attending to the man, another man, described as white and aged between 40 and 50-years-old, spoke to a paramedic providing information.
Officers are appealing to speak to this man as a witness to assist with enquiries. The man is not suspected of any wrongdoing.
