Police share image after unprovoked assault in Nottingham sports bar

Police would like to speak to the man in this picture following an unprovoked assault inside a Nottingham sports bar.

The victim was sat a table inside BOX, in Pelham Street, when a man approached and punched him, before smashing a pint glass in his face.

The victim, in his early 30s, sustained two large lacerations near his eye that required 15 stitches.

Officers have pursed a number of lines of inquiry to trace the offender and are now appealing for the public’s help following the incident on 1 June.

PC Madison Hayes, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a nasty and unprovoked assault that has had a profound impact on the victim.

“We have been trawling through all of the CCTV footage available from the night as part of the investigation, to help establish what happened.

“After inspecting the footage, we have identified a man who we believe can assist the investigation and we’d encourage him to come forward.

“Likewise, if you recognise him or have any more information that could help us with our inquiries, please contact us on 101 quoting crime number 24*321761.”
