Police statement after 10-year-old boy taken to hospital by helicopter following Bingham collision

The casualty was taken to the hospital by air ambulance.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said:

“We were called at 08:50 today (21 December) to Long Acre Road Bingham to assist EMAS following a road traffic collision.

“A 10-year-old boy has been taken to hospital by air ambulance.”

A police cordon at the junction of Foster Lane and Long Acre East.

nspector Pete Shaw, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Eaton Place, Bingham, shortly before 8.45am, this morning (21 December) following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

“A 10-year-old child has been taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

“The road remains closed so we would please ask motorists to avoid the area and make alternative arrangements.

“Our investigation into what happened is ongoing so I would urge anyone with any dashcam footage to get in touch with us.”
