Police responded to an incident in Crocus Street at 6:05 pm on Saturday 26 March.
A man in his 50s was stabbed near the junction of Arkwright Walk and Meadows Way.
The victim was taken to hospital but his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Nottinghamshire Police said: “A cordon has been put in place in the area as emergency services deal with the incident and officers carry out inquiries.”
Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy, of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Our investigation is at an early stage and we are working to understand what happened during this incident.
“It is early in the investigation but this is believed to be a self-contained incident with no wider threat to the public.”
