A pedestrian has sustained serious injuries after a road traffic collision near a hospital.
Emergency services were called to Derby Road, near the entrance of the Queen’s Medical Centre, at 7.32 pm on Tuesday.
The victim, a man aged in his seventies, sustained serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.
The road has been partially closed while investigation work is carried out.
Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers will remain at the scene of this collision as we work to understand exactly what happened.
“To this end we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed these events – particularly anyone who may have recorded dashcam or other video footage at the scene.”
