Police have released images of jewellery taken during a burglary in a bid to track it down.
An array of sentimental items including wedding rings and priceless family heirlooms were taken.
Among these belongings was an opal ring bought by the victim’s grandfather during the Second World War.
Ten separate pieces of jewellery were stolen in total during the burglary from a house in Devon Drive, Carrington.
The break-in is believed to have taken place at some point between 30 October and 2 November.
Detective Constable James Bravant, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“For understandable reasons, the victim has been left incredibly upset by this incident.
“Taking the financial value of these items to one side, a number of them also carry an incredible amount of sentimental value to the owner.
“In addition to two wedding bands and an engagement ring, the collection also included jewellery purchased by the victim’s grandfather during the Second World War.
“We’re determined to do everything we can to return this woman’s belongings to her, and hope sharing these images and the descriptions of the jewellery help jog people’s memories.
“If you recognise any of these pieces and think you might know where they could be, please contact us so that we can take action.”

The following items have all been reported stolen:
- A silver Tiffany necklace
- A 24ct gold engagement ring, with a gold band with a circular diamond surrounded by platinum set into it
- A 24ct gold wedding ring with a band of platinum running through the centre
- Another 24ct gold wedding ring band
- A small opal shaped ring with loops around the setting of the opal
- A female Rotary watch, with a narrow bracelet made up of links
- A silver disk link bracelet
- Silver square stud earrings
- Silver Donny Hall hoop earrings
- Silver Creole style hoop earrings
