Police warn residents in the Sutton Bonington area to be vigilant after five homes broken into

There have been recent burglary incidents in Sutton Bonington in Rushcliffe.

Police say the incidents happened between 24 and 27 August.

A male suspect broke into five empty properties during this time, stealing various items.

In response, officers have been conducting reassurance patrols in the area and other surrounding villages, particularly during the early hours, to help prevent further incidents and offer peace of mind to the local community.

Police said:

‘If you live in the area, it might be a good idea to stay vigilant, ensure your property is secure, and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

‘Local neighborhood officers, in collaboration with their colleagues in the CID, are actively working to identify the male suspect involved in the recent burglaries in Sutton Bonington. They are reviewing CCTV footage obtained from the area and are encouraging anyone with additional CCTV or information that hasn’t been shared yet to come forward.
