A Nottingham woman who had been deciding which colour to paint her front door received some helpful advice from her postie.
Elizabeth Pocklington, a teacher from Nottingham, painted the colour choices she was considering on the black front door and then received a ‘we missed you’ Royal Mail note on Tuesday.
On the official card left by her post lady was written “2nd green up from bottom looks the best” as a piece of advice about the paint colour.
The tweet which describes what happened has been liked over 82,000 times.
She said: “I asked our post lady about the note and she was so shy about it”
“I’d ordered the colour about a week and a half ago but I don’t know whether to change it or not now.
“The response has been awesome on Twitter and Facebook, obviously we’ve had lockdown and this is a story that has put a smile on people’s faces.”
Elizabeth said in a tweet ‘We were struggling to choose a front door colour… thank you to the postie for helping us out!’
