The company made the announcement this evening on its store websites.
In a short statement the business said:
‘With the health and welfare of our employees and customers front of mind, we have made the decision to close our stores in the UK, until further notice.’
John Lewis also announced yesterday that all 50 of its UK stores will close temporarily.
