There is a speed restriction because of high winds between Sheffield and Stockport disrupting our trains on the Liverpool/Nottingham/Norwich route.
Network Rail have imposed a safety speed restriction because of high winds across the network until at least 10:00.
East Midlands Railways said:
‘Our service between Sheffield. Manchester and Liverpool has been suspended until at least 10:00
‘Our service between Sheffield, Nottingham and Norwich can run but may have delays of up to 30 minutes.
‘Network Rail will review if the safety speed restrictions can be lifted by 10:00, once lifted our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again.
‘We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 12:00.’
