Real Ale Festival returns to Wilford next weekend

A much-loved local event is returning to Wilford this spring as the South Notts Real Ale Festival 2026 takes place at Nottingham Moderns Rugby Club on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd May.

Now in its 12th year, the festival has become a firm favourite in the South Nottinghamshire community calendar, bringing together local residents, families, rugby supporters, and beer enthusiasts for a weekend of great drinks, live music, and fundraising.

Held at the club on Main Road, Wilford, the event will feature a wide range of real ales, ciders, and other refreshments, alongside food and entertainment throughout the weekend.

This year’s festival will raise money for Marie Curie’s Daffodil Campaign, Spikers RFC in Kenya, and youth rugby development at Nottingham Moderns RFC.

Festival organiser Dek Brown said: “This event has always been about community spirit. It’s a chance for people to come together, enjoy themselves, and support some fantastic causes at the same time. We’re proud that the festival has grown into such a popular local tradition, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in May.”
