Property Consultant, Box Property, has been instrumental in revitalising Exchange Arcade and attracting new international brands to the prime retail space.
The new lettings, secured by Box Property, comprise global coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts, luxury British shoemaker Loake, premium bubble tea specialist Gong Cha and activewear brand Sweaty Betty.
The scheme, located in the heart of the city underneath the Council House includes 20 units and is already home to Pret a Manger, Castle Fine Art, Dr Marten and Patisserie Valerie.
It is the first time three of the international brands, Gong Cha, Dunkin’ Donuts and Loake have had outlets in Nottingham, with only Sweaty Betty relocating from Pelham Street.
Ben Tebbutt, co-founder and director at Box Property, said: ‘It’s fantastic to see big international brands investing in Nottingham and rejuvenating the city in this way.
“The last couple of years have been tough for retailers of every size, so to be attracting these big names to this beautiful building right in the heart of the city is hopefully testament to a long-awaited recovery.”
It is hoped that these new outlets will help to support Nottingham’s retail regeneration scheme by boosting footfall in Market Square and attracting younger shoppers to the city centre.
Frankie Labbate, co-founder director of Box Property, said: “Having these huge global brands, with established reputations for attracting modern shoppers, is creating a reason to visit the city.
“It’s also a great way of connecting Hockley’s independent areas with the High Street. We’re confident it will bring a new and dynamic customer base to support Nottingham’s wider retail regeneration.”
Frankie added: “With further units under offer to exciting national operators, there will be more good news stories to come.”
