Resident shocked after disturbing intruder climbing through a window at his Nottingham home

A shocked resident reportedly disturbed a man as he was trying to climb in through a window.

The alleged break-in happened at a house in Gregory Boulevard on Friday 4 June 2021.

It was also reported the victim was racially abused three days later.

Following enquiries a man was arrested in connection with both incidents.

Mark Kelly, 49, of Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green, has been charged with burglary and racially-aggravated public order.

He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 6 July 2021.

Detective Constable Natalia Montano said: “We take reports of this nature incredibly seriously and will do all we can to bring people before the courts for these kind of distressing offences.

“The force will investigate reports and continue its tireless work to bring suspected offenders to justice.”
