Resident’s warning after dog walker attacked by dog at Victoria Embankment in West Bridgford

The update is to warn others of potential risks on the Trent.

There have been two tents pitched behind County Hall on the West Bridgford side of Victoria Embankment for several weeks. The area is always popular with dog walkers, cyclists, runners and pedestrians.

The image shows the location of the tents.

The update posted today 27 December reads:

‘We were walking along the river this morning, behind the county hall, when a dog (looks like a Rottweiler/Doberman) came out of some tents and attacked me and my dogs, luckily we managed to get away mostly unharmed, with the attacking dog taking a large clump of hair out of one of my dogs tail as a I managed to pick him up.

‘Just to make sure people take extra care when in the area and keep an eye out, wouldn’t want it to happen to anyone else or their dogs !!

‘Here is a photo of the tents/area where it happened.’
