Footprints Charity Patron Paralympic Gold Medallist Richard Whitehead MBE visited Jesse Gray Primary School in West Bridgford on Tuesday 26 November.
He was there to meet Billy, the winner of Footprints’ competition to design the blades that Richard ran with at the recent Robin Hood Half Marathon.
Billy’s design was chosen as the winner from over 80 entries, and Richard loved his colourful and impactful creation.
Richard spent time at the school this morning, joining their assembly and sharing his thoughts on resilience, diversity, and making a difference.
He also shared the video of him winning T42 200m Gold at the London 2012 Paralympics, inspiring the next generation to work hard, believe in themselves, and achieve their potential and ambitions.
