Road rage incident in Nottingham leads to three arrests on Clifton Boulevard

A road rage incident has led to three arrests after a police pursuit.  

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called to Lenton, Nottingham, just before 4.44pm yesterday (9 October) to a report of a road rage incident between two cars on a side street close to the A52.

The driver of one of the cars was reportedly kicked and pushed by three men from the other car, who also kicked his vehicle and threatened him.

The men made off and a car believed to be related to the incident was tracked down by officers in Clifton Boulevard. Three men were arrested following a short pursuit.

An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage and possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs. The 19-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

Police Sergeant Sharon Powar, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We all have a responsibility to be courteous on the roads and violence of any kind is completely unacceptable.

“We will not tolerate anyone putting other road users at risk or any kind of intimidating behaviour.”
