Motorists are being advised of a series of forthcoming roadworks, temporary closures and traffic restrictions across Rushcliffe during August.
The works include carriageway repairs, road-marking improvements, utility installations and drainage investigations.
From Monday 3 August
Main Road, Shelton: Multi-way and rolling two-way temporary traffic signals will operate between Longhedge Lane and a point approximately 1,000 metres north from 08:00 on Monday 3 August until 16:00 on Tuesday 4 August. The signals will be used between 08:00 and 16:00 each day for carriageway repairs.
Bottesford Lane, Orston: The road will close from its junction with Lordship Lane to a point 1,560 metres southeast from Monday 3 August until Wednesday 5 August. The closure will operate from 08:00 to 15:30 on weekdays, with no waiting, loading or unloading permitted. A diversion will run via roads including Longhedge Lane, Nottingham Road, the A52 and Station Road.
Wilford Lane, West Bridgford: Stop-and-go boards will operate from 09:30 to 12:30 on Monday 3 August while faulty traffic-signal detector loops are repaired.
Stanton Lane, Stanton-on-the-Wolds: Rolling stop-and-go boards will be used along the whole road from Monday 3 August until Friday 7 August. Restrictions will operate between 09:00 and 15:00 while road markings are refreshed.
Various roads in Keyworth: Rolling stop-and-go boards will operate from 09:00 to 15:00 between Monday 3 August and Friday 7 August while road markings are refreshed. The affected roads are Meadow Drive, Bunny Lane, Manor Road, Nicker Hill, Wolds Drive and Debdale Lane, together with part of Platt Lane.
Various roads in Ruddington: Overnight temporary signals will operate on High Street, Pasture Lane, The Green and Church Street from 20:00 on Monday 3 August until 04:00 on Wednesday 5 August. The restrictions will be in place overnight only while road markings are refreshed.
Ambleside, Gamston: Two-way temporary signals will operate around the clock near Aira Close from 07:30 on Monday 3 August until 17:30 on Friday 14 August. Severn Trent Water will be installing new pipework.
Thursday 6 August
High Street, Ruddington: Rolling stop-and-go boards will be used between Kirk Lane and Church Street from 07:00 to 15:30 on Thursday 6 August for drainage investigation work.
From Monday 10 August
Studland Way, West Bridgford: Rolling stop-and-go boards will operate between Rugby Road and a point approximately 130 metres north from 08:00 to 16:30 on Monday 10 August. Via will carry out carriageway repairs.
Musters Road, Langar: Multi-way and rolling two-way signals will operate between Cropwell Road and Barnstone Road from Monday 10 August until Tuesday 11 August. The restrictions will be in place between 08:00 and 15:30 each day for carriageway repairs.
Butt Lane, East Bridgford: Temporary signals will operate continuously between Toll Bar Close and a point approximately 80 metres east from Monday 10 August until Friday 21 August. Three-way signals will be used until Thursday 13 August, followed by two-way signals from Friday 14 August. National Grid will install or divert electricity cables for a new customer supply.
From Tuesday 11 August
Rectory Road, West Bridgford: Rolling stop-and-go boards will operate between Musters Road and Bridgford Road from Tuesday 11 August until Thursday 13 August. The restrictions will be in use from 09:00 to 15:30 each day for carriageway repairs.
Nicker Hill, Keyworth: Two-way signals will operate continuously near Meadow Drive from 08:00 on Tuesday 11 August until 18:00 on Thursday 13 August. Severn Trent Water will install new customer connections.
Melton Road, Widmerpool: A lane closure will be in place at the junction with the A46 from Tuesday 11 August until Wednesday 12 August. The restriction will operate between 09:30 and 15:00 each day while a new lamp column is installed.
Wednesday 12 August
The Green, Ruddington: Rolling stop-and-go boards will operate between Asher Lane and Elms Gardens from 09:00 to 16:00 on Wednesday 12 August for carriageway repairs.
Thursday 13 August
Bunny Lane and Gotham Road, East Leake: Temporary signals will operate from 06:00 to 18:00 on Thursday 13 August while new BT poles are installed. Three-way signals will be used at junctions when required, followed by rolling two-way controls. Only one set of signals will be used at a time.
Friday 14 August
Kirkstone Drive, Gamston: Stop-and-go boards will operate between Ambleside and Ennerdale Close from 08:00 to 16:30 on Friday 14 August for carriageway repairs.
From Monday 17 August
Main Street, East Leake: Three-way temporary signals will operate continuously at the Gotham Road junction from 08:00 on Monday 17 August until 16:00 on Tuesday 18 August. The signals will be manually controlled between 07:00 and 19:00 while Severn Trent Water repairs a sluice valve.
Loughborough Road, Ruddington: Temporary signals will operate from approximately 100 metres north of Mere Way to a point around 240 metres further north from Monday 17 August until Friday 4 September. The signals will remain in place around the clock and will be manually controlled between 07:00 and 19:00. Cadent Gas will carry out mains replacement work.
A606 Melton Road, Tollerton: Stop-and-go boards will operate between Main Road and Cotgrave Road from Monday 17 August until Wednesday 19 August. The restrictions will be in place between 09:30 and 14:30 each day for carriageway repairs.
Old Grantham Road, Whatton: The road will close between the A52 and Dark Lane from 08:00 to 15:30 on Monday 17 August. Waiting, loading and unloading will also be prohibited while carriageway repairs are completed. Traffic will be diverted using the A52 and Bingham Bypass.
From Tuesday 18 August
Church Gate, Colston Bassett – road closure: A section beginning approximately 115 metres south of Harby Lane will close from 08:00 on Tuesday 18 August until 16:00 on Saturday 22 August for a new customer connection. The diversion will use roads through Harby, Langar and Cropwell Bishop.
Church Gate, Colston Bassett – temporary signals: Two-way signals will operate continuously at a separate location approximately 130 metres north of Bunnison Lane from Tuesday 18 August until Monday 24 August. National Grid will install a new customer connection.
Saturday 22 August
Nottingham Forest match-day restrictions: Lady Bay Bridge and Scarrington Road will temporarily close in connection with Nottingham Forest’s fixture at the City Ground. Lady Bay Bridge will close for approximately 15 minutes between 17:30 and 18:30 and for a further 30 minutes after the match. Diversions will operate through Trent Bridge, London Road, Manvers Street and Meadow Lane.
Drivers are advised to allow additional time for their journeys. The timings may be subject to change depending on weather conditions and the progress of the works.
