A wanted robbery suspect was pulled from his bike and detained by a police dog.
PD Max and his handler were on patrol in Sutton-in-Ashfield town centre when they spotted the man shortly after 6pm on Saturday 17 November.
The suspect, also wanted on suspicion of more than a dozen shop thefts, attempted to flee by pedalling along Forest Street.
He was, however, no match for the notoriously quick German Shepherd, who soon made up the ground and pulled him from his machine.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and theft.
Sergeant Nick Dachtler, of Nottinghamshire Police’s dog section, said:
“Anyone trying to outrun Max uphill on a pedal cycle is either not thinking clearly, or is in contention for a place in next year’s Tour de France.
“Unsurprising there was only one winner in this particular race – which was over in a matter of seconds.
“Max is one of our biggest but also fastest dogs, who has a well-earned reputation for chasing down and detaining suspects in double quick time.”
