Robin Hood gets a Christmas jumper!

It seems that even a seven foot tall bronze statue can’t escape the Christmas spirit…

Although technically not a jumper, more of a festive tunic – the fun has been carried out by the organisation behind great city centre initiatives such as Halloween, The Magic of Christmas, and Light Night – Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) – to mark National Christmas Jumper Day by dressing Nottingham’s iconic Robin Hood statue with a custom made Christmas tunic, thanks to the staff and volunteers from Sue Ryder, Hockley.

Commenting on the stunt, Alex Flint, CEO of Nottingham BID said: “Thank you to the staff and volunteers at Sue Ryder Goosegate here in Nottingham, who did an amazing job creating the tunic.

“We’d also like to thank Nottingham Castle for getting on board with this and giving us permission to dress the statue. It’s a great way of shining a light on our unique cultural heritage and spreading a little festive cheer along the way.”
